Meet Our Doctor

​​​​​​​She is a current member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Texas Optometric Association (TOA). Outside of her practice, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. Dr. Nguyen is known for giving each patient her focused attention and prides herself on delivering the best treatment possible. She is a thorough and compassionate optometrist who has been practicing in Houston since 2008.

​​​​​​​Dr. Alma Hernandez is a native Houstonian and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from the University of Houston.  She received her Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, receiving honors in her clinical rotations. Her clinical interests include fitting of glasses and contact lenses including specialty contact lenses,  management and treatment of glaucoma and systemically derived ocular disease such as diabetes and dry eye therapies and treatments. Dr. Hernandez is fluent in English and Spanish.   In her free time she enjoys spending time with her three young boys and her husband.  She also enjoys reading and is an avid runner.
